A 23-year-old man died of gunshot wounds after crashing his car Sunday and then collapsing outside in Garfield Park on the West Side.

Rayshaon Williams was pronounced dead at about 11:30 p.m. in the 4500 block of West Fulton Avenue, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office. He lived in Lawndale.

Minutes earlier, he was found unresponsive in that block with a gunshot wounds to his hip, Chicago police said.

He appeared to have exited the car and collapsed on the ground after crashing into two parked cars, in the 4500 block of West Maypole Avenue, police said.

Investigators have not found any witnesses, police said. Area Four detectives are conducting a homicide investigation.
