A 20-year-old man was fatally shot Wednesday night in West Pullman on the Far South Side.
Darius Fairley was shot about 9:55 p.m. in the front yard of a home in the 12200 block of South Harvard Avenue, Chicago police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office said.
Officers responded to a ShotSpotter alert and found him with gunshot wounds to the face and chest, police said. He was taken to Roseland Hospital and pronounced dead.
There were no witnesses to the shooting and no one in custody, according to police.
A half hour later, a woman was shot to death inside a car about a mile away.
