Woman seriously wounded in domestic shooting in West Chatham

She was taken to University of Chicago Hospital in serious condition, police said.

A woman was seriously wounded in a domestic shooting Thursday afternoon in West Chatham on the South Side, police said.

A man shot the woman, 22, in an alley in the 7900 block of South Harvard Avenue around 12:30 p.m., Chicago police said.

Paramedics took her to the University of Chicago Hospital with a gunshot wound to her chest, police said.

No arrest was made.
