New babies for the Downeys; Kelly Rowland

More celebrity babies have entered out crazy world. Big congrats go out to Robert Downey, Jr. and his wife and Chicago-area native, Susan Downey, on the birth of their second child and first daughter. In typical, clever style, the actor released the following statement on Facebook to announce his daughter’s arrival:

“After 9 months of intensive development, Team Downey is pleased to announce our 2014 fall/winter project. Principal photography commenced 11-14 and will continue until she says, ‘Dad! You are embarrassing me…I’m 30, this has gotta stop.’ Yep… Avri Roel Downey joined the party @ 3:22 a.m. on November 4th… she’s 7lbs even, spans 20 inches, and is accompanied by a variety of Susan’s traits that have seemingly overwritten my ‘junk DNA.’ I’ll post pics here + there when I’m not too busy staring…”

The couple already are parents to son Exton, 2. The Downeys were married in 2005. Robert Downey, Jr. is also the father of son, Indio, 21, from his first marriage to Deborah Falconer.

†Congrats also go to former Destiny’s Child singer Kelly Rowland and her husband, Tim Weatherspoon. Their baby boy, named Titan Jewell Weatherspoon, was born on Tuesday afternoon and checked in weighing 7-pounds-6-ounces. “We are thrilled to announce that today we are the proud parents of our first son,” Rowland said in a statement.
