Hulu is honoring the life and legacy of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg with a free stream of the critically acclaimed CNN Films documentary “RBG.”

The 2018 documentary, which spans Ginsburg’s life and career, will be streaming on Hulu’s YouTube channel from 12:01 a.m to 11:59 p.m. Thursday.

In addition to Ginsburg’s own words via interview clips, speeches and special appearances, directors Betsy West and Julie Cohen went to the people and politicians who knew her best — from her husband Martin Ginsburg and President Bill Clinton to her Harvard classmates, professors and co-Supreme Court justices, to political figures from both sides of the aisle.

In its 2018 review of the documentary, The Associated Press wrote: “It’s no wonder that the term ‘superhero’ is applied to Ginsburg early in the film, by no less than Gloria Steinem. But in a way, that term doesn’t do the justice’s story justice. Because superheroes come by their status magically. Ginsburg, we learn here, had to fight every inch of the way, with grit and tenacity and creativity and optimism and lots of all-nighters, over often stunningly difficult obstacles. The best parts of this film show us not how ‘cool’ she is but how hard she worked, and how much she wanted what she got.”

“RBG” also is being re-released at theaters nationwide starting Friday, along with “On the Basis of Sex,” a 2018 biopic starring Felicity Jones as Ginsburg as a young lawyer. Proceeds will benefit the American Civil Liberties Union Foundation’s Women’s Rights Project, co-founded by Ginsburg in 1972.
