Dont link the release of wide receiver Muhsin Muhammad with the arrival of Marty Booker.

Just because Muhammad is gone does not mean the Bears are going to re-sign Booker, who was let go by the Miami Dolphins last week.

In fact, sources say despite Bookers overtures to the team about making a return, its not expected to happen.

The Bears did not respond, at least initially, to Bookers camp and it looks like Minnesota, New England and Tennessee will be his leading suitors.

The Patriots have made it known they will not be paying Donte Stallworth the $8 million his contract calls for in the next few weeks. Randy Moss and Jabar Gaffney are also free agents, leaving only another ex-Dolphin in Wes Welker under contract as a target for New England quarterback Tom Brady.

Minnesota and Tennessee both have pressing needs to fill at receiver. Both used ex-Bears as starters this past season with Bobby Wade in Minnesota and Justin Gage in Tennessee. Dallas is also a possible destination for Booker, who has a residence in Houston.
