DAILY GUIDANCE AND PRESS SCHEDULE FOR

MONDAY, MARCH 14, 2011

In the morning, the President will visit Kenmore Middle School in Arlington, Virginia and deliver a speech on reforming education in order to win the future and prepare our students to out-educate and out-compete the world in the 21st century economy. While at Kenmore Middle School, the President will visit a classroom. There will be travel pool coverage of the classroom visit. The President’s remarks are open press.

Later in the morning, the President will meet with senior advisors in the Oval Office. This meeting is closed press.

In the afternoon, the President will hold a bilateral meeting with Prime Minister Lars Lokke Rasmussen of Denmark in the Oval Office. This meeting is closed press. The President Prime Minister Rasmussen will then deliver statements to the press in the Oval Office. The statements are pooled press. The President looks forward to discussing with Prime Minister Rasmussen the strong ties between the United States and Denmark, the common global and security challenges our two nations face, including counterterrorism, the situation in the Middle East and economic and environmental issues. The President and the Prime Minister will also discuss the situation in Afghanistan, where more than 700 Danish combat troops as well as police and army training teams are serving in Helmand Province.

Later in the afternoon, the President will meet with General Petraeus in the Oval Office. This meeting is closed press.

In the evening, the President will attend a DNC event at the St. Regis Hotel. This event is closed press.
