Plainfield East guard Aaron Jordan, a member of the class of 2015, has committed to play basketball at Illinois, a source said.

Jordan attended the Illini’s win over Penn State Saturday and committed shortly after the game.

While the news was sure to make the day that much better for Illinois and coach John Groce, news of Jordan’s commitment is certain to have the opposite effect in Evanston. Jordan was a high-priority target for Northwestern.
