A new study found the percentage of CPS ninth-graders who were on track to graduate high school has increased significantly since 2009, when CPS schools took a more aggressive approach to improving ninth-grade performance. Students who entered high school in 2009 were found to remain on track throughout their high school careers at higher rates compared to those who entered in earlier years.
