A man was injured in a drive-by shooting Tuesday night in the West Englewood neighborhood on the South Side.

The 23-year-old man suffered a gunshot wound to the back about 9:30 p.m. when a light-colored vehicle pulled up and someone inside opened fire in the 7100 block of South Winchester Avenue, police said.

He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he was listed in “stable” condition, police said.

Police said the man is a documented gang member.
