Work for the new interchange on I-57 at Stuenkel Road near University Park is set to resume Monday.

To complete the work, shoulders along both northbound and southbound lanes on I-57 will be closed between Monee-Manhattan and Steger roads, according to a statement from the Illinois Department of Transportation.

Some of the work includes new ramps, pavement reconstruction and road widening.

The project is expected to be completed by October 2015, according to IDOT.
