A 9-year-old boy reported missing Friday from the Englewood neighborhood on the South Side has been located safely, police said.

Damonta Dawson was last seen about 3 p.m. Friday near the 5500 block of South Carpenter, according to a missing person alert from Chicago Police.

The boy has been located safely, police said Sunday afternoon. Additional details were not released.
