WEEKENDGUIDANCEAND PRESS SCHEDULE FOR
SATURDAY, JUNE 6, 2015 AND SUNDAY, JUNE 7, 2015
On Saturday morning, the First Family will depart Washington, DC en route Wilmington, Delaware. The departure from the South Lawn is open press, and the arrival at Delaware Air National Guard is open to pre-credentialed media.
While in Delaware, the First Family will attend services honoring the life of Beau Biden at a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Anthony of Padua R.C. Church. President Obama will deliver a eulogy in honor of Beau Biden at this Mass. The service will be pooled for TV with travel pool coverage.
Afterward, the First Family will depart Delaware en route Washington, DC. The departure from Delaware Air National Guard is open to pre-credentialed media, and the arrival on the South Lawn is open press.
In the afternoon, the President will depart the White House en route Munich, Germany. The departure from the South Lawn and the arrival at Munich Airport are open press.
On Sunday, the President will participate in an event and walk through Krün with German Chancellor Angela Merkel. They will have the opportunity there to meet with some of the residents and make brief remarks about the U.S.-German alliance. The President’s remarks are open press, and there will be a pool spray of the President’s walk with Chancellor Merkel. Later in the morning, the President will hold a bilateral meeting with Chancellor Merkel at Schloss Elmau to review a number of regional and global issues. The meeting will be closed press.
In the afternoon, the President will participate in the G-7 arrival ceremony at Schloss Elmau. Afterward, the President will attend a G-7 meeting on the global economy followed by a G-7 meeting on trade. There will be travel pool coverage of the arrival and limited G-7 pool coverage of the leaders’ walk to the Retreat Building for the working sessions. There will be a limited G-7 pool spray at the top of the first G-7 meeting, and the second meeting will be closed press.
Following the working sessions, the President will join G-7 leaders for an official family photo. There will be travel pool coverage of the photo.
In the evening, the President will attend a cultural performance followed by a G-7 leaders working dinner on foreign and security issues. The cultural performance and the working dinner are closed press.
The President will remain overnight in Krün.

On Tuesday, the President will attend the Catholic Hospital Association Conference inWashington, DC. The President will discuss what healthcare reform has meant to millions of Americans – not only in terms of improved and affordable coverage options for individuals, but in terms of new rights and protections for all consumers, rising quality of care, and the transformative impact on the economy as a whole.
On Wednesday, the President will attend meetings at the White House.
