A man was shot Saturday afternoon in the West Humboldt Park neighborhood.

The 21-year-old heard gunfire and was shot in the buttocks about 4:25 p.m. in the 3900 block of West Hirsch, according to Chicago Police.

He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in serious condition, police said.
