A man was shot early Sunday in the South Austin neighborhood on the West Side.

The 36-year-old was walking on the sidewalk just before 2:30 a.m. in the 5400 block of West Monroe when someone in a white SUV fired shots, striking him in the left foot, according to Chicago Police.

He was taken to Loretto Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.

The men, 18 and 20, were in the 1800 block of West Monroe Street about 9:20 p.m. when two people got out of a light-colored sedan and fired shots. They were hospitalized in fair condition.
