Man, 37, shot in Austin

A 37-year-old man was shot Tuesday in the Austin neighborhood on the West Side.

A male got out of a vehicle about 3:10 p.m. in the 100 block of South Laramie and fired shots in the man’s direction, Chicago Police said.

He was struck in his left leg and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition stabilized.

Area North detectives were investigating.

The men, 18 and 20, were in the 1800 block of West Monroe Street about 9:20 p.m. when two people got out of a light-colored sedan and fired shots. They were hospitalized in fair condition.
