A man was critically wounded in a shooting Sunday afternoon in the Gage Park neighborhood on the Southwest Side.

The shooting happened about 2:15 p.m. in the 5100 block of South Christiana, according to Chicago Police.

The 23-year-old man was shot in the abdomen and taken in critical condition to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, police said.

A police source said the victim is a documented gang member.

The men, 18 and 20, were in the 1800 block of West Monroe Street about 9:20 p.m. when two people got out of a light-colored sedan and fired shots. They were hospitalized in fair condition.
