A motorcyclist was shot late Tuesday in the Grand Crossing neighborhood on the South Side.

The 26-year-old man was riding his motorcycle about 11:50 p.m. in the 7100 block of South Stony Island when someone shot at him from a passing car, according to Chicago Police.

He was shot in the back and chest and was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
