Man shot in Archer Heights

A man was shot and seriously wounded early Wednesday in the Archer Heights neighborhood on the Southwest Side.

The 30-year-old man was in a vehicle at 2:18 a.m. in the 4600 block of South Keeler when someone fired shots, striking him in the head, according to Chicago Police.

He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in serious condition, police said.

Police said at least one person was in custody Wednesday morning and charges were pending. A weapon was recovered.
