A man was shot early Monday in the Bronzeville neighborhood on the South Side.

The 29-year-old was inside an apartment in the 3900 block of South Indiana about 1:40 a.m. when he opened the door and another male fired shots in his direction, according to Chicago Police.

The man suffered gunshot wounds to the abdomen and back and was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.

The men, 18 and 20, were in the 1800 block of West Monroe Street about 9:20 p.m. when two people got out of a light-colored sedan and fired shots. They were hospitalized in fair condition.
