A 29-year-old man was shot inside a Bronzeville neighborhood apartment early Monday. | Network Video Productions, Inc

A man was shot early Monday in the Bronzeville neighborhood on the South Side.

The 29-year-old was inside an apartment in the 3900 block of South Indiana about 1:40 a.m. when he opened the door and another male fired shots in his direction, according to Chicago Police.

The man suffered gunshot wounds to the abdomen and back and was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
