A man was wounded in a shooting Sunday afternoon in the Englewood neighborhood on the South Side.

The 21-year-old was standing on the sidewalk when he heard shots and felt pain about 1:50 p.m. in the 7400 block of South Sangamon, according to Chicago Police.

He was shot in the left leg and was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center where he was in good condition, police said.

Area South detectives were investigating.
