A man was killed and three other people injured in a crash Thursday afternoon in the West Garfield Park neighborhood.

A vehicle in the 300 block of South Pulaski struck the pedestrian, then several parked vehicles, about 1:20 p.m., police said.

The pedestrian, a man in his 40s, was take to Mount Sinai Hospital where he was pronounced dead, according to police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

His age was not yet being released because he had not yet been identified.

The driver and a passenger in the vehicle were taken to Stroger Hospital, and a second passenger was taken to Mount Sinai, police said. Their conditions were not immediately available.

The hospitalized driver is in custody and charges were pending Thursday night, police said.
