A man was shot Sunday afternoon in the Fernwood neighborhood on the Far South Side.

The 20-year-old was shot multiple times at 3:41 p.m. when someone walked up to a vehicle he was inside and fired in the 10200 block of South Princeton Avenue, Chicago Police said.

The 20-year-old tried to drive after being shot, but crashed a short distance away, police said. He was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn in critical condition.
