Teen shot in Austin

A teenage boy was shot Saturday night in the Austin neighborhood on the West Side.

The 15-year-old was in a common area of an apartment complex about 11:45 in the 200 block of South Lavergne when a male he didn’t know pulled out a gun and shot him in the right leg, according to Chicago Police. The shooter then fled on a bike.

The teenager was taken to a hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.

The men, 18 and 20, were in the 1800 block of West Monroe Street about 9:20 p.m. when two people got out of a light-colored sedan and fired shots. They were hospitalized in fair condition.
