A 53-year-old woman was shot Friday night in the Englewood neighborhood on the South Side.

She was standing on a porch with a group of people about 8:40 p.m. in the 5700 block of South Morgan Street when someone in a gray vehicle headed northbound on Morgan Street opened fire, according to Chicago Police.

The woman was shot once in the back and twice in the left arm, police said. She was taken to Stroger Hospital, where her condition was stabilized.
