SHARE Coordinator: Shea McClellin ’50/50′ for Monday

Bears inside linebacker Shea McClellin returned to practice for the first time Thursday after missing two games with a knee injury, and was limited.

Defensive coordinator Vic Fangio said that, in his opinion, the inside linebacker was “50/50″ to play Monday night against the Chargers. He hurt his left knee making a tackle in Kansas City.

“He’s the quarterback of the defense, and we’ve missed that,” Fangio said.

Coach John Fox said that McClellin was in charge of the Bears’ play-calling, and “you always miss that a little bit” when he’s out.

“He’s come along good,” Fox said. “He’s worked very hard in the rehab. Our trainers I think have done a great job. It was fun to see him moving around out there on a limited basis.”
