SHARE Report: David Price prefers to stay in Toronto

View image | gettyimages.comThe Cubs might not be the favorites in the David Price sweepstakes after all.

Among the most sought-after free agents on the market this offseason, Price is expected to sign a deal worth $200 million. But where?

Previous reports linked Price to the Cubs, citing his relationship with manager Joe Maddon, but the most recent updates suggest otherwise.

ESPN1000′s David Kaplan said in a series of tweets that not only does Toronto have the cash to sign Price, but the Blue Jays might also be his preferred destination.

Price compiled 18 wins and a 2.45 ERA in 2015 with the Tigers and Blue Jays. The 30-year-old southpaw has a 3.09 ERA in eight big-league seasons.
