SHARE White Sox prospect Adam Engel named AFL Player of Week

Glendale Desert Dogs center fielder Adam Engel has been named Arizona Fall League Player of the Week.

Engel is the White Sox’ 17th-ranked prospect according to MLB.com. He batted .375 (6-for-16) with one homer, two triples, one double, five walks and three stolen bases. Engel leads the AFL with a .397 average, nine doubles and a .524 on-base percentage.

Engel batted .251 with 65 stolen bases in 136 games at Class A Winston-Salem.
