A body was found washed up on the North Side at Montrose Harbor Sunday, according to police.

Authorities were called about 12:25 p.m. to the 4500 block of North Simonds Drive where they found a man 40 to 50-years old washed up on the beach, according to preliminary information from Chicago police. He was pronounced on the scene.

The Cook County medical examiner’s office hasn’t released details about his death.

Area North detectives are investigating.
