Three men were shot and wounded Saturday afternoon in Woodlawn, and one was hospitalized in critical condition, the police said.

Around 2:15 p.m., someone walked up as opened fire as they were all standing outside in the 6200 block of South Vernon Avenue, according to the police, who said a 31-year-old man, shot multiple times, was taken in critical condition to Stroger Hospital.

Also hospitalized: a 26-year-old man shot in both legs and a 30-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the left leg.
