A man was discovered shot to death early Friday in the South Side Chatham neighborhood.

Officers found 25-year-old Gregory Williams Jr. with a gunshot wound to the head about 2:45 a.m. inside a vehicle double parked in the 8000 block of South Vernon, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Williams Jr. was pronounced dead at the scene at 3:10 a.m., authorities said. An autopsy found he died of multiple gunshot wounds, and his death was ruled a homicide.
