Temporary, overnight lane closures are scheduled to begin Monday on the Eisenhower Expressway in northwest suburban Addison and Wood Dale for bridge painting and cleaning.

Lanes will close overnight in both directions on I-290 under the Mill Road bridge, according to a statement from IDOT. In addition, the outside westbound shoulder will be permanently closed during the roadwork.

The project is expected to be completed in July, IDOT said. Drivers are urged to allow extra travel time in the area and to be alert for construction workers and equipment.
