A 19-year-old man was wounded in a drive-by shooting Tuesday night in the Lawndale neighborhood on the Southwest Side.

About 9:30 p.m., he was standing near a parked vehicle in the 1200 block of South Komensky when he heard gunshots and felt pain, according to Chicago Police.

A witness told investigators the shots were fired from someone inside a passing maroon vehicle, police said.

The 19-year-old was shot in his right, arm and was taken to a Mount Sinai Hospital in good condition, police said.
