A man was shot Thursday night in the Back of the Yards neighborhood on the South Side.

The 22-year-old was outside about 9:15 p.m. in the 5200 block of South Damen when someone fired shots at him from a passing vehicle, Chicago Police said.

He was struck in his abdomen, and taken to Stroger Hospital, police said. His condition had stabilized.
