Man shot in Austin

A man was shot early Sunday in the Austin neighborhood on the West Side.

The 30-year-old heard gunfire and realized he’d been shot in the leg about 4:45 a.m. while he was walking in the 5100 block of West Madison, according to Chicago Police.

He was taken to Loretto Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
