A 44-year-old man was shot in the foot Friday morning in the West Garfield Park neighborhood.

He showed up at Loretto Hospital at 8:06 a.m. and told investigators the attack happened in the first block of South Kilbourn, according to Chicago Police.

The circumstances of the shooting were unknown, but police said the man has documented gang ties.

He was listed in good condition.
