Police are asking the public’s help to find a 16-year-old boy who went missing from the South Side Hyde Park neighborhood more than two weeks ago.

Keenan Mardis, 16, has been missing from the 5400 block of South Everett since last being seen on Oct. 31, Area Central detectives said in a missing person alert. He is known to frequent Elkhart, Ind., the alert said.

He may be wearing a red jacket, blue jeans, and black and blue Jordan gym shoes, police said. He may also be carrying a maroon backpack.

Mardis is described as a 5-foot-10, 120-pound black boy with brown eyes, black hair and medium complexion, the alert said. He has a pierced right ear, a scar under his left eye and a tattoo on his chest.

Anyone with information should call 911.
