A 43-year-old man was shot to death early Sunday in the Little Village neighborhood on the Southwest Side.

Luis A. Perez was found with a gunshot wound to the head about 5:20 a.m. in the 2300 block of South Washtenaw, according to police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Perez, of the 2700 block of West 24th Street, was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said.

A police source said the victim had documented gang ties.
