Man shot in both arms on Far South Side

A man was shot in both of his arms early Monday in the East Side neighborhood on the Far South Side.

The 20-year-old was in the 10800 block of South Avenue N about 4:30 a.m. when he heard someone yell and turned around, police said.

He saw someone standing in the street, then heard shots and was struck in his upper left arm, left forearm and right forearm, police said.

He was taken to Franciscan St. Margaret Health in Hammond, Ind., where his condition stabilized.
