Man wounded in Woodlawn shooting

A man was shot in the Woodlawn neighborhood on the South Side Wednesday evening.

About 5:30 p.m., the 24-year-old was walking in the 6400 block of South Maryland when he was shot in the leg, police said.

The man was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where he was listed in fair condition, police said.
