Saturday marks the halfway point between last Dec. 25 and the next one, and the weekend will present a few options for Chicagoans who need a little Christmas right this very minute.

• Comedy Central is devoting its full Saturday schedule to twisted yuletide movies — from “National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation” to “Bad Santa” — and seasonal episodes of “South Park” featuring Santa and the aromatic Mr. Hanky.

• Dressed in holiday style, the River North bar Municipal will hand out Christmas candy and dispense Christmas-themed shots at a Mexican-inspired Christmas in July party, starting at 6 p.m. Friday at 216 W. Ohio. www.municipalbar.com; 312-951-2125

• Waukegan’s second annual Christmas in July runs from 1 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Bowen Park, 39 Jack Benny Dr. Presented by the Puerto Rican Arts Alliance, the free event presents the Caribbean island’s traditional holiday food, music and art. www.praachicago.org

• And if the hazardous life of the transgender prostitute is more your yuletide speed, the acclaimed feature “Tangerine” will be in its second weekend at the Music Box Theatre. Set on Christmas Eve on the streets of Hollywood, it includes a faithful rendition of the holiday standard “Toyland” by working girl Alexandra (Mya Taylor).
