A man was critically wounded in a shooting Monday morning in the Chicago Lawn neighborhood on the Southwest Side.

The 23-year-old man was in the 2500 block of West Lithuanian Plaza at 8:38 a.m. when a male walked up and fired shots, police said.

He was shot in the abdomen and groin and taken in critical condition to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, police said.
