SHARE Police warn of Bronzeville robberies

Police are cautioning Bronzeville residents after two robberies were reported in the South Side neighborhood earlier this month.

The robberies were reported on Aug. 1 about 4:10 a.m. in the 3900 block of South Lake Park and on Aug. 5 about 10:55 p.m. in the 400 block of East 41st Street, according to an alert form police.

In each case, two men approached a person and threatened them with armed violence and took their property, police said.

Both suspects were described as black men between 18 and 23 years old, police said. One stands between 5-foot-8 and 6-foot-1 and weighs between 170 and 175 pounds. He has brown eyes, black hair and dark complexion.

The other man stands between 5-foot-9 and 6-foot-1 and weighs between 165 and 170 pounds. He has brown eyes, braided hair and a medium complexion, police said.

Anyone with information on the robberies is asked to call Area Central detectives at (312) 747-8380.
