Man shot in Irving Park

A 33-year-old man was shot Monday morning in the Irving Park neighborhood on the Northwest Side.

The man was shot once in each leg at 11:20 a.m. near Belle Plaine and St. Louis, police said.

He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition was stabilized.

A source said the victim is a documented gang member.

Police are speaking to two “people of interest” in connection to the shooting.
