Cartons of cigarettes were stolen in a strong arm robbery in west suburban Naperville early Thursday.

About 1 a.m., three males entered a gas station in the 1400 block of East Ogden Avenue and asked for a large number of cartons of cigarettes, Naperville police said. Due to the number of cartons requested, the employee refused to hand them over.

One of the males went behind the counter and held the clerk, as another handed cartons of cigarettes to the third male, police said. They ran east after the robbery.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police at (630) 420-6666 and ask for the investigations division.
