Two teenagers were shot Wednesday afternoon in the Southwest Side Little Village neighborhood.

The shooting happened at 3:30 p.m. in the 3000 block of South Avers, according to Chicago Police.

A 16-year-old boy was shot in the ankle and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, police said. A 17-year-old boy was shot in the abdomen and was taken to Stroger Hospital. Both of their conditions were stabilized.
