A man was shot to death early Sunday in the West Englewood neighborhood on the South Side, police said.

Officers responding about 12:50 a.m. to a call of shots fired found the 22-year-old man lying face down on the sidewalk in the 6400 block of South Oakley, according to Chicago Police.

Odell Jones, of the 6400 block of South Claremont Avenue, had been shot in the back and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office and police.
