A man who claimed he had a gun robbed a Subway restaurant in north suburban Northbrook on Tuesday.

About 4:35 p.m., the man entered the Subway in the 400 block of Dundee Road and told an employee he would be shot if he did not hand over money, Northbrook police said. The man never showed a gun and left after he received an unknown amount of money.

He was described as white, between 40 and 50 years old and 200 pounds, police said. He was wearing a blue sports cap, green hoodie, tan pants and a mask or dark scarf.

Anyone with information was asked to contact Northbrook police at (847) 564-2060.
