The Brandon Road bridge road in southwest suburban Joliet is closed for emergency repairs until Monday.
The bridge over the Des Plaines River was closed Wednesday and will remain closed until Monday when the repairs are finished, according to the Illinois Department of Transportation.
Drivers can use the McDonough Street bridge as an alternative route, IDOT said.
