Man robs Irving Park bank

A man robbed a bank Thursday morning in the Irving Park neighborhood on the Northwest Side.

The non-takeover robbery happened at a First Merit Bank branch at 4012 N. Pulaski Rd. at 9:41 a.m., according to FBI spokesman Garrett Croon.

The suspect was described as a white man in his mid-30s, between 5-foot-3 and 5-foot-6 with blue eyes and thin build, according to the FBI. He was wearing a dark winter coat, gray hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and white tennis shoes.

No weapon was displayed.
